A former Auburn resident, Mrs. Dessie A. Baker, died at her home at Elkhart, Ind., Wednesday evening. Mrs. Baker was the widow of Alvin H. Baker, a former Auburn merchant. He was also "town marshal" in the early nineties. The funeral of Mrs. Baker was held at Hicksville, Ohio, Saturday. Two sons, Guy L. and Glen A., survive. Gay L. Baker is managing director of the Bloomington, Ind., chamber of commerce and Glen A. Baker is assistant cashier of the Detroit bank, Detroit, Mich.
