LEONARD CARLTON PINETOPS--Leonard Carlton, 50, of Pinetops, died early Friday morning at Duke Hospital, after a short illness. A member of the Pinetops Baptist Church, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cabble Carlton; five sisters, Mrs D. H. Cole, Miss Lillian Carlton, both of Pinetops, Mrs. E. O. Coleman of Martinsburg. W. Va., Mrs C. B. Phillips of Fountain, and Mrs. J. M. Pendergrass of Greensboro; four brothers, J. C. and Milton Carlton of Pinetops, R. W. Of Richmond, Va., and Hilton of Wilson. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p. m. from the Pinetops Baptist Church in charge of the Rev. T. W. McKneely. Interment will be in Pinetops cemetery.
