Irene A. Hobba
Irene A. Hobba, 61, lifelong resident of Akron, went to the loving hands of God on Oct. 19, 1999.
She graduated from South High, and was a soloist at Main Street Methodist Church and Greensburg United Methodist Church. She served as a PTA president and on numerous volunteer projects and school activities including children's concert in the Green School System.
She was preceded in death by parents, William Gerald and Edith Irene Stuiber; uncle, Russell Smith. She will be sadly missed by her husband, James R. Hobba; son, William (Jamie) and Elizabeth Hobba of Rochester, N.Y.; daughter, Holly and Willis Shoupe Jr.; son, David Hobba of Akron; aunts, Mildred and Evelyn Smith; niece, Patty (Smith) and Steve Small; nephew, Ralph and Dorianne Smith; sisters-in-law, Pearl (Hobba) and John Strohl, and Mrs. Jane (Hobba) Roberts; cousin, Richard and Delores Stuiber; very dear friends, Albert Sacrison from Michigan; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at the Good Shepherd, 785 S. Main St., where friends may greet the family after the service. Friends may make a gift to the Memorial Fund of Church of the Good Shepherd. (Cremation Society of Ohio, 535-1012.)

Mr. Hobba Takes Bride To Canada
Main St. Methodist Church was the setting for the marriage of Irene Annette Stulber and James Robert Hobba.
The Rev. Norman E. Crewson officiated at the ceremony uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Stuiber, 1209 Swigart rd., Barberton, to the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hobba.
The bride approached th altar wearing a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over candlelight taffeta embroidered with pearls of iridescent sequins. The dress was designed with a fitted bodice and long, pointed sleeves.
