Thurston-Clayberger
Prof. Ernest Lawton Thurston, supervisor of schools at Washington, and Miss Nina Agnes Clayberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Franklin Clayberger, of Lumberton, N. J., were married last evening at 7:30 o'clock at Pointed Firs, the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. A. E. Piper, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Many guests were present at the ceremony and reception that followed.
The bride wore a becoming gown of white satin over taffeta, trimmed with baby Irish lace and embroidered with pearls. Her veil was caught with orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of orchids and lilies of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Katherine M. Clayberger, who wore a gown of pink messaline, and carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas. The wedding march was played by a stringed orchestra, and there was music during the ceremony. The house was tastefully decorated in green and white. Mr. Raymond Pierce Clayberger, of New York, a brother of the bride, was groomsman.
Prof. and Mrs. Thurston left immediately after the ceremony on an extended trip through the White Mountain region. Upon their return in September they will reside in Washington.
