ZANESVILLE - Rebecca leona Sharrer, 81, of Blandy Avenue, Zanesville, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 1996, at her home.

Mrs. Sharrer was born Oct 7, 1914, in Zanesville. She was a lifelong resident of Zanesville and a retired employee of Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. She was a member of South Zanesville Nazarene Church and VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Betty L. Jackson of Beachrock Drive, South Zanesville, and Judy K. Mahle of Moxahala Park Road; two sons, James R. Sharrer of Lenox Avenue and William E Sharrer of Lisa Kim Lane, Nashport; one stepson, Ronald Grandstaff of Mansfield; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ila Mae Orr of New Port Richey, Fla.; one brother, Robert L Bowers of Navarre; and her caregiver, Barbara Lynne Hicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ullysses S. Bowers and Rhoda Jenkins Bowers; her husband, Howard J. Sharrer; and two brothers, Charles and Emory Bowers.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1996, at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1996, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kim Semran officiating Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
