George E. Bowers, 14, Passes Away

Pneumonia Proves Fatal to Local Youth

George Emery Bowers, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses S. Bowers, 1203 Blandy avenue, died at 1:20 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Bethesda hospital following a three weeks' illness of pneumonia.

He was a student in the eighth grade of Hancock school and was a member of the Sunday school of the Church of Christ in Christian Union on Warwick avenue.

Besides hid parentd, he is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Leona, Charles W., Ila Mae and Robert, all of the home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, with Rev. J. G. Levack and Rev. M. R. Mick officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

The body will be removed to the residence Thursday from the Bateman funeral home.
