Gilbert Clayberger

S. Gilbert Clayberger, 57, Box 57C, East Cameron Township, Shamokin R.D. 1. died last evening in his home. Death terminated a seven-year illness.
Born in Coal Run, May 24, 1911, Mr. Clayberger was the son of Adam Clayberger, Ranshaw, and the late Elizabeth (Jones) Clayberger. He lived at his present address three years. Previously he had lived in Philadelphia 10 years and before that time had resided in Ranshaw.
Mr. Clayberger was a retired miner having last worked at the Pennsylvania Colliery. He was married April 19, 1937. in Shamokin to the former Margaret Weikel. He received his education in Coal Township schools.
Mr. Clayberger was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Brady Hose Company, Shamokin Lodge of Eagles and Kulpmont Post of the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II. having served with the United States Navy.
Survivors in addition to the widow and father include three sisters, Mrs. Homer (Olive) Wolf, Trevorton; Mrs. Kathryn Lupton, Ranshaw, and Verna Clayberger. Ranshaw, and three brothers, Henry, Raymond and Ralph, all of Ranshaw.
