Adam Clayberger Dead
Adam Clayberger, Berwick's well-known chief of police, died Monday. The cause of death was typhoid fever with complications.

Chief of Police Adam Clayberger, of Berwick, died at his home a victim of typhoid fever. He served as chief of police for fourteen years, was for many years a health officer and street commissioner and was constable for twelve years. Mr. Clayberger was very well known.

Berwick's Chief is Dead
Adam Clayberger, for fourteen years the chief of police of Berwick, died at his home at that place on Tuesday morning, after an illness which had extended over a period of several weeks.
Chief Clayberger was well known here and in his own county there was not perhaps a man more widely known than he. He had made a good reputation as a police official and for a number of years had combined police duties with those of street commissioner and health officer.
He was 47 years old and was born and lived all his life in Columbia county. Throughout his whole life he had been a conscientious Christian. For a number of years he was a Sunday school superintendent and was also a local preacher of the Methodist Church. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and P. O. S. of A.
