William F. Cook
William Franklin Cook, 82, retired Baltimore & Ohio Railroad fireman, died yesterday at his home, 114 West First street, after a long illness.
Born at Green Spring Furnace, Washington county, Md., Mr. Cook was a son of the late William and Mary Rhodes Cook. He came to Cumberland in 1891. After nearly fifty years of service to the railroad company here, he retired In 1922.
Mr. Cook was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Baltimore and Ohio Veterans' Association.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna (Steuber) Cook; three sons, William Lee Cook, Cumberland; Charles Edwin Cook, Boston, Mass., and Frederick Stephen Cook, Pittsburgh, Fa.; a daughter, Mrs. J. Sylvester Dawson, Johnstown, Pa.; and three sisters, Mrs. Carl Steuber, Cumberland; Mrs. John Cross and Mrs. John Geher, both of Pittsburgh.
