Betty I. Chamberlain, 75, Sunbury
SUNBURY - Betty Ida Chamberlain, 75, formerly of RR4 Sunbury, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 23, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services, where she lived since May 1989.
She was born June 29, 1923, in Coal Township, a daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah (Yost) Clayberger. She was married to Earl A. Chamberlain Sr., who died in 1966.
She was educated in Northumberland County schools.
Mrs. Chamberlain was employed by the Irish Valley Processing Plant, Shamokin.
Mrs. Chamberlain was a member of Miller's Crossroads United Methodist Church, RR4 Sunbury.
Surviving are two nieces, Helen Hoffman of Shamokin and Bonnie Mordimer of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by one son, Earl Jr., in 1967; one brother, Joseph Clayberger; and one sister, Ruth Clayberger, in childhood.
Visitors may call for the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Rev. Kavin K. Rossman, chaplain at ManorCare.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miller's Crossroads United Methodist Church, RR4, Box 625, Sunbury, Pa. 17801.

Ralph Clayberqer
Stonington R.D. 1
Ralph H. Clayberger, 81, Stonington, Paxinos R.D. 1, died last night at 5:35 in Sunbury Community Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital last Friday.
Mr. Clayberger was born in Shamokin April 24. 1887, son of the late Edward and Alice Pressler Clayberger. He spent most of his life in Shamokin and moved to Stonington 16 years ago.
The former resident retired in 1953 from the Roaring Creek Water Company where he was employed for 38 years. He was a member of the Stonington Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Clayberger was married April 17, 1912, to the former Sara Yost. His death breaks a marital union of 56 years.
Survivors include the widow, one son, Joseph of Stonington; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Chamberlain, also of Stonington; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
