DEATH OF RUFUS SMITH

Rufus Smith, who had been a paient under treatment at the Alice Hyde Hospital since February 22d from the town of Burke, for a serious ailment of long standing, passed away this morning at 7 o'clock, from heart weakness, aged 42 years.

Mr. Smith was a farmer by occupation and a worthy and respected citizen of the town of Burke, where he had long resided. He is survived by his wife and several children.

Arrangements for the funeral were not completed this afternoon and will be announced in the Telegram tomorrow.
