Florence H. Heim, 75, Leek Kill

LECK KILL - Florence H. Heim, 75, of 4367 Schwaben Creek Road, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008, at her home. She was in ill health for the past few years.

She was born April 3, 1933, in Lower Augusta Township, the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Violet E. (Dewitt) Buss. She was married in 1971 at Himmel's Church, Rebuck, to Charles B. Heim, who survives.

She attended Fisher's Ferry one-room school house.

Early in life, she was employed in local factories. She also worked at the Hut Restaurant in RR Herndon. Florence owned and operated the Dew Drop Inn Restaurant in Red Cross, and last, she and her husband owned and operated Heim's Greenhouse in Rebuck.

She was a member of Lower Augusta Baptist Church, RR Sunbury.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jacqualyn Nichols of Sunbury and Rosalie and Ken Kessler of Boyles Run, RR Sunbury; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Cheryl Spotts of Camp Hill; five grandchildren, Stacey Hampton and husband Brian, Jennifer Kessler and companion Tom Shrawder, Troy Kessler and companion Jessica Moyer, Richie Spotts and companion Lauren and Jade Spotts; and four great-grandchildren, Austin and Brady Hampton, Matt Shrawder and Haley Kessler.

She was preceded in death by one half brother, Walter Clayberger.

There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Robert Commerford officiating.

Entombment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
