BURKE MAN IS SEVERELY HURT IN BARN FALL

Ambrose LaFleur in Critical Condition at Alice Hyde Hospital Following Twenty Foot Fall From Beam

Ambrose LaFleur was seriously hurt in a fall from a beam in the barn of the Albert Chapman farm in Burke yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. He suffered a broken pelvis and severe injuries to his skull.

Mr. LaFleur, employed by Albert Chapman during the haying season was working in the barn when he lost his balance and fell twenty feet. He was picked up unconscious and brought into the farmhouse. Dr. L. P. Sprague, of Chateaugay, was summoned and attended him until he was brought to the local hospital.

Upon examination it was found that his pelvis was broken. It could not be determined whether or not he suffered a fractured skull as his condition did not permit an X-ray examination. His condition is most critical. Dr. John E. White is attending him.

Mr. LaFleur is 60 years of age and is a resident of Burke. He has four sons and two daughters, all of whom reside in Burke. A sister resides in Cooks Corners and another in Constable.
