HOWARD J. SHARRER

Howard J. (Blackie) Sharrer, 66, of 1203 Blandy Ave., died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Bethesda Hospital.

Mr. Sharrer was a lifetime resident of the Muskingum County.

He was employed at McGraw Edison for 45 years and a was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Sharrer was born Sept. 24, 1917, in Muskingum County, the son of Charles and Ollie Donaldson Sharrer.

Surviving are his wife, Leona Bowers Sharrer of the home; three sons. James R. Sharrer of 2018 Maple Ave., William E. Sharrer of Lisa-Kim Lane, Nashport and Ronald Grandstaff Mansfield; two daughters, Mrs. Betty L. Jackson of 2631 Maysville Pike and Mrs. Judy K. Mahle of 3555 Moxahala Park Road; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Sharrer of Sixth Street.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at William Thompson and Son Funeral Home in White Cottage where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Joseph Fidelman officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Union Cemetery.
