CHOLETTE - Edward William Dayton. "Ed" of Courtenay, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 17, 2001, at age 55. He is survived by and will be lovingly missed by his wife of 20 years, Heather Marinaccio; son, Jesse; brothers, Roger, Jim, John, Bruce and Mick; sisters, Willa, Pam, Janet and families; his mother, Bessie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Roger. Ed worked as a longshoreman in Vancouver for more than 35 years and earned a wealth of friends, not only on the mainland, but throughout the Comox Valley where his warmth, caring and sense of humour will be long remembered. He was a devoted husband and father and a tower of strength for all his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Celebration of Ed's life will take place in both Courtenay and Vancouver in January. Dates and times will be published prior.
