Former Resident of Allentown Dies in Portland, Oregon

Mrs. Mary J., nee Mensch, Clayberger, widow of Charles W. Clayberger and a resident of Allentown for 35 years, died on Tuesday night at the home of her son, Harry Clayberger, in Portland, Ore. She was 84 years old.

For the past five years Mrs. Clayberger has been living with her son in Portland. For 35 years prior to that time she lived in Allentown and was an active member of Seibert E. C. church, various church organizations, and the Helping Hand Bible class of the church.

She was born in Roaring Creek and before coming to Allentown lived in Brandonville.

Surviving are three sons, Charles Clayberger of Cincinnati; Harry and George Clayberger, Portland; 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Two sons and two daughters preceded her in death. Her husband, a Civil War veteran, died In 1932.

Funeral services will be held from the Ernest B. Zimmerman funeral home, 1124 Walnut St., Tuesday at 2 p. m. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a. m. until the time of the funeral.
