Roderick Harry Clayberger

CARSON CITY--Roderick Harry Clayberger, 76, died April 17, 1998. at his residence.

A native of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, he was born Aug. 30, 1921, to George R. and Edna Hanna Clayberger and had lived in Carson City for the past six months, coming from Sun City. Calif.

Clayberger was a retired Army master sergeant and World War II, Korean and Vietnam War Army veteran, serving for 26 years in the M Company 290th Infantry, 75th Division. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

A brother. William, preceded him in death.

Surviving are wife, Elvira (White), son, Mickey R. and daughter, Mary L. Turner, all of Ontario, Calif.; son, Richard D. of Lakewood, Calif.; daughters, Jean M. Clark of Carson City and Michelle M. Toms of Fruita, Colo.; brother, Cork of Eugene, Ore.; sister, Lois Nachtsheim of Sun City; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel.

Cremation is under the direction of the funeral home.

A memorial is being established with the Hospice of Northern Nevada, c/o Saint Mary's Foundation, 809 N. Plaza St., Carson City 89701.
