Jean Anne Long To Be Bride of Harold Ford
Ceremony Will Be Performed Tonight
Miss Jean Anne Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Long, 619 North Mechanic Street, is to become the bride of Harold S. Ford, sone of Mrs. James McRae, 504 Washington Street, tonight. The wedding ceremony is to be solemnized at 7 o. m. in the rectory of St. Patrick's Church with Rev. John U. Lyness officiating.
Mrs. Norman F. Gaetz, Jr., will be her sister's matron of honor and only attendant and Eugene Brant will serve as Mr. Ford's best man.
The bride is wearing a light brown bengaline dress, made with fitted bodice, three-quarter length sleeves, V neckline with small collar and a full skirt. With it she is wearing a winter white hat trimmed with ostrich tips and veiling. A bridal corsage will complete her costume. Her matron of honor is wearing a dark green taffeta dress with matching hat and a corsage of fall flowers.
Mrs. Long has chosen a red crepe dress for her daughter's wedding. With it she will wear black accessories and a corsage of mixed pompoms; Mrs. McRae is wearing a pink faille dress with black accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. Long will entertain in honor of their daughter and her bridal party with a reception at their home following the ceremony. White flowers and a tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom will carry out the bridal motif.
The bride is a graduate of Catholic Girls Central High School and Ursaline Business School. Mr. Ford is a graduate of Allegany High School and a veteran of Army service in Japan. He attended the University of Maryland for one year, majoring in Engineering, and will continue his studies at Indiana School of Technology, Fort Wayne, Ind. He had been employed by the State Roads Commission.
For traveling, the bride is wearing a plaid dress suit with red shoes and bag and winter white hat. Mrs. Ford and his bride will reside in Fort Wayne.
